We are seeking a highly dynamic and enthusiastic Course Manager to join our team and collaborate with our external agronomist, who will provide support through bi-monthly visits. The ideal candidate will lead the Club's development through careful management and strategic long-term planning. Applicants should possess the necessary knowledge, experience, and skills, along with a positive attitude and excellent communication abilities. The ability to work seamlessly within the existing management team, reporting directly to the Club Manager, is essential.
Hurtmore Golf Club is located 100 yards off the southbound A3 near Godalming, Surrey. It was the first of 22 courses designed together by Peter Alliss and Clive Clark in 1992. An 18-hole Par 70, renowned as one of the best draining courses in the region with greens and tees playable all year.
Applicants will, as a minimum be expected to demonstrate a proven track record of the following:
- NVQ Level 3 in Green keeping or higher in Sports Turf Management
- A minimum of 5 years supervisory experience with a proven ability to plan, organise and implement work programs
- Proven ability to motivate, lead, develop and mentor others
- To be able to prepare and implement budgets
- PA1, 2 and 6a spraying certificates
- Relevant IT Skills
- CS30 and 31 chainsaw certificate
- Irrigation experience including repair and maintenance
- Knowledge and maintenance of modern green keeping machinery
- Equipped both technically and practically to undertake green keeping duties to the highest standard required at a prestigious members Club
- Excellent knowledge of Health & Safety legislation.
The nature of our business necessitates that the successful applicant will be required to work some weekends and Bank Holidays.
